Sec. 19. Law of the land; equal protection of the laws.
To Whom I May Concern:
In The State of North Carolina There is no laws on the book for mental health, Yet the mental and their love ones are force to follow the bill of law that holds no fair meaning to the mental person or their family caretakers Which leads to discrimination, imprisonment.
No person should be deprived of their life liberty and should have the equal protection under the laws to have their family members there for their well beings.
The same governing bills of laws that is for the physical person should hold in place for the mental persons and family care takers.
Most sere mental patience do not have the mind to know his or her rights and even the rules forced upon them. Yet we as family members are deprived of our rights and liberties to be concerned about our love ones in mental health crisis when they are committed in to hospitals. We are denied our rights to mentally and physically concern about our mental family members our human right privileges are taken away from us.
It is not enough that we have to go through the struggles and the hardships of seeing our love ones abused in our communities and often times seeing our love ones being killed and jailed.
We have to deal with untrained and unskilled person on the phone daily quoting laws that is not laws at all and commanding us to abide by them.
We, as one nation under God have over looked the real meaning of fair human rights.
We have forgotten that all human matter and most of all our mentally Ill love ones who has no voice to speak for them selves.
Yet, we as mothers and fathers and close family members or being harassed and having the same doors closed in our face that should be as it is for other with physical illness.
We as a people in this great nation need to go back and address the needs of the Mental Health in our guides lines and our human and common laws.
If we are to abide by your written rules and Bills of Laws, We as the people of the mentally Ill should also have the same equal rights provided unto us as any other person under the law.
We with mental family members are not strangers to our love ones but you are. Your Bill of Law states: “that no person shall be taken imprisoned or dis seized of his freehold, liberties or privileges outlawed or exiled, or in any manner deprived of his life, liberty, or property, “
Yet, we the family members of mental ill love ones do not have the freedom to ask questions about our love ones in mental hospitals in the state of North Carolina or any other states that follow these rules.
We are too often met with unkind and undesirable conversations even when we are the POA.
When do people who have love ones with physical illness are denied the rights to be concern for their love ones?
What changes in the Bill of Law that grant us not the same rights to be equally concern for our mentally love ones?.
I, as a mother of two sere mentally ill love ones need this to be brought to the attentions to all that are able to bring about a change in our equal right concerning this matter in your bills of laws.
We as the concern families of the mentally ill have the same rights to be heard and considered under the same equal protection and privileges, and considerations as the family members of physical illness. I feel that our equal rights have not been protected in this matter at hand and I asking that we as the concern families of the mentally ill have the same rights to be heard and considered the same equal protection and privileges, and considerations as the family members of physical illness.
I feel that our equal rights have not been protected in this matter at hand and I asking that this matter be addressed and taken into consideration for the benefit of our mental love ones:
I feel that all hospitals and health care providers should know that we as families of the sere mentally ill has the same rights as the physical families in every state and county of the USA.
I am not asking for something out side of the laws of the bills of rights. I am asking that we as a people be considered in the same manner as others in our bills of rights.
I am eighty one years of ages and I still have the same problems that I have had fifty years ago.
I am not asking just for my love ones but for every mental love one in this great nations to have the same rights and privileges as everyone under our written bills of laws in this great nation.
We as a people, need to speak out for the ones who has no voice and have not been heard.
Not only have we silenced them, but we are trying to silence their families and love ones and caretakers.
Today let stand up and bring about a much needed change for the mentally Ill and their families. Thank You.
Mother of two Mental Love One
